Job Description
The Departmental Operations Manager performs accounting/fiscal, human resources, and facilities management duties for the School of Human Environmental Sciences, including support for the Directors of Business Operations and Academics of the Jean Tyson Child Development Study Center.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Accounting/Fiscal Management:  Development and maintenance of accurate accounting records and reports, including purchasing, account payable, appointed and hourly payroll; budget preparation and implementation and other accounting related duties.

Provide fiscal support to the Director of Business Operations and Director of Education Programs of the Jean Tyson Child Development Study Center. 

Provide Human Capital Management support for the School of Human Environmental Sciences, and related departments, including recruitment and hiring of employees. Responsible for maintaining correct salary accounting. 

Other duties:  Interpret administrative directives and policies applicable to the school. Assist in developing/revising the School's administrative policies and procedures to promote optimum operating efficiency and conformity to institutional policies.  Provide information, assistance, and clarification of policies and procedures of the School and institution to faculty, staff, students, and others.  Attend workshops/trainings/meetings to stay abreast of new policies and procedures and changes to existing ones.
