www.ualr.eduSummary of Job Duties:The Program Support staff will support virtual and in-person programs by making family engagement calls, recordkeeping, data entry, and providing support to CI program delivery for grades 1st through 12th. Your weekly hours will depend on your availability and program schedule. Must be able to provide the proof of Work Study Award. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma plus previous work or volunteer experience working with children or youth;

  • Must be 18-years

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • One (1) year in college, tutoring experience, &/or Spanish.

Job Duties and/or Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to assigned programming for 1st -12th graders.
  • Elementary Program Support: Assist in the implementation of afterschool enrichment and homework help activities
  • Middle School Program Support: Support emotional well-being, life skills, leadership, academic, and/or adolescent health groups
  • High School Program Support: Assist with a variety of group and/or individual workshops about college and career preparation, exploration, and post-high school choices.
  • Make family engagement calls.
  • Support small group and/or one-on-one sessions
  • Help with the preparation of program materials & snacks
  • Act as a role model or mentor.
  • Recordkeeping and entering program data.
  • Attend regular training provided by CI.
  • Assist with special events such as field trips, family nights and program celebrations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to function virtual sessions based on Zoom, google suites, and other platforms

  • Willing to learn about programming for youth in academic and enrichment programs

  • Facilitation skills preferred

  • Ability to build rapport with students

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills

  • Reliability, punctuality, a team player a must.

  • Spanish helpful

  • Energetic and passionate about being a role model for all youth and children

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
