Department:Crop Soil & Environmental Science * Rice Extension Agronomist

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Rice Agronomy team with a variety of general field and laboratory activities that require frequent driving to research locations throughout Arkansas.
Duties consist of planning, planting, maintaining, spraying, collecting data, and harvesting research plots. The technician will also assist with routine maintenance of equipment, data collection, data compiling, analyzing, and reporting results in various formats. The candidate will also be responsible for supervising seasonal workers and other duties as assigned.
This is a grant-funded position with employment contingent upon satisfactory performance.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience in small plot research is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and other relevant computer programs. Proficiency in driving, maintaining, and operating agricultural equipment is preferred.
