LOCATION - Travelling/ Project Sites

We do not require you to live in a specific location for this position, but you will be expected to report to one of our current job sites across the US. Job sites will be discussed during interview process.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Mechanical Foreman you will be responsible for performing various day-to-day tasks required in the field construction of mechanical fuel systems, including but not limited to installation of Filter Vessels, fueling pumps, dispensers, piping, valves and other components associated with a fueling system. You will also assist the Project Manager with project execution, supervising the project crew, performing or assisting in tasks related to welding or pipefitting, and any other general labor tasks as assigned.

  • Assist with material takeoffs
  • Prepare, maintain and update a 3-week look ahead for assigned project
  • Assist with RFI's
  • Conduct daily safety meetings (JHAs) when needed
  • Follow all safety rules, recognize and report safety hazards
  • Purchase, with a company card, miscellaneous material and items needed to field crew to complete work
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working condition
  • Interpret engineering construction drawings and specifications
  • Track on-site materials with the project schedule to stay ahead of shortages or missing items
  • Perform or assist in tasks related to welding such as fit-up, preparation, repair, inspection, and post weld preparation
  • Determine the required tools, materials and welding methods based on the project drawings and specifications
  • Follow welding procedure specifications when welding
  • Examine completed welds
  • Complete weld maps, as required, through completion of the project
  • Perform or assist in tasks related to planning, installing and maintaining pipe systems and supports

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma and or it's equivalency with previous years of experience in the field relevant to welding and/or pipefitting and supervisory oversight of a crew
  • Welding experience required to pass pipe weld tests (SMAW/FCAW in all positions)
  • Experience properly preparing materials by clamping, cutting or applying chemical solutions to piping
  • Experience examining completed welds to ensure they are free of defects, smooth, and functional
  • Ability to prepare and maintain a project schedule
  • Working knowledge of AWS, API, ANSI, and ASME Codes and Standards
  • Knowledge of applicable welding standards
  • Knowledge of applicable pipefitting mechanics
  • Ability to troubleshoot and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions and demonstrate characteristics of strong work ethics, competent and self-motivated
  • Ability to work outside in harsh weather conditions
  • Physical dexterity
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, safety training, background and drug and alcohol screen
