Job Description
The Manager Data Governance role will build, implement and ensure adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data practices, policies, and standards both at a technical and functional level. This role will partner with all levels of the organization, from Executive Vice Presidents to subject matter experts to serve as a single point of contact for data quality and governance. Position will have one master data management analyst that reports to them.
Job Duties:
  • Defines the roles and responsibilities related to Data Governance and master data management.
  • Ensures accountability for the stewardship and master data of the enterprise.
  • Develop & Maintain sources of truth of the enterprise data.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of Data quality standards across the enterprise.
  • To lead and coordinate with senior and top management such as IT, accounting, finance, supply chain and operations regarding Data Governance.
  • To resolve end-to-end issues regarding Data Governance that may arise from different departments in the enterprise.
  • Design & Develop Data Governance Roadmap and provide reports regarding the progress from time to time.
  • Eliminates redundancy and streamlines the external data sources.
  • Identify the new business opportunities with the use of data assets to achieve efficiency and represent the data as the business asset.
  • Lead on aligning respective data sharing between enterprise and its clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Partner with Cyber Security to protect sensitive and confidential data.

Minimum Education, Licenses & Certifications:
  • BA or BS in Computer Science, Business Administration or similar discipline preferred.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience working in data governance and master data management.
  • 3+ years experience with manufacturing company and bill of materials (BOM).
  • 3+ years experience with shared services and other corporate functions and processes.
  • 3+ years experience with ERP system modules including financials and manufacturing (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Projects, foreign currency, EFT, multi-subsidiary accounting, inventory, order fulfillment, etc.)
  • Preferred NetSuite knowledge.
