The primary function of this position is to support our water resources projects and environmental engineering efforts. Key disciplines will include hydrologic and water quality/watershed assessment and modeling, data management and analysis, wastewater treatment analysis and design, water resources related permitting support (NPDES, 404/408, water quality standards, SPCC, etc.), and stormwater quality/management.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical documents and review/edit the work products of other employees.
  • Create documents to support pollution prevention and spill preparedness in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Stamp plans as required by regulatory authorities.
  • Provide engineering support for wetlands/stream restoration projects.
  • Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and modeling of stream and river systems.
  • Setup and run water quality and watershed models and provide support for other modeling efforts.
  • Support the environmental compliance efforts for municipal and industrial clients.
  • Contribute to engineering designs for stormwater controls, wastewater/water treatment systems.
  • Direct the development of Civil/Environmental design documents (conceptual, preliminary, final).
  • Develop capital construction cost estimates using regional indices and vendor-provided information.
  • Communication with project teams, clients in the office and on-site and regulatory agencies.
  • Participation in information gathering at industrial facilities.
  • Personal management of time and tasks including clear communication with team.

Required Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, and/or Environmental/Civil Engineering) from ABET Accredited, four-year college or university or foreign equivalent
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) from an accredited State Program is a MUST
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Suite (Word, MS Excel, Outlook), and AutoCAD
  • Experience: 8 - 15+ years with hydrologic and water quality/watershed assessment and modeling, data management and analysis, wastewater treatment analysis and design, water resources related permitting support (NPDES, 404/408, water quality standards, SPCC, etc.), and stormwater quality/management.

Preferred Skills:
Qual2 modeling (or similar), Wastewater Treatment Troubleshooting and design, statistics, npdes permitting, stormwater management, lid, swat modeling, hydrological analysis of rivers and streams, HEC-RAS hydraulic modeling.

Salary Range: negotiable

Location: Bryant, AR
