The Community Health Worker for Indigenous Populations (CHW-IP) will serve as part of a Multi-disciplinary Team to address the disproportionate burden of lung cancer among Northwest Indigenous communities and stopping commercial tobacco-use for the community at-large. Using culturally and linguistically appropriate methods, the CHW-IP will provide high-quality comprehensive outreach, navigation and advocacy services, focusing on efforts including health education/health literacy, health promotion, disease prevention and treatment access. The CHW-IP will identify and implement effective strategies, including community education, facilitation of commercial tobacco cessation efforts, and linkage to lung cancer screening services where appropriate. The CHW-IP will help create trusting relationships between families, providers and hliil Program staff, and work to increase self-efficacy among those Indigenous patients and families that are accessing and navigating the complex health care

The hourly pay range for this position is from $28.34 to $40.35 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
