Responsibilities

  • Responsible for facility planning, implementation and measuring of Primo Water North America's Quality Program for product, package & coolers ensuring total customer satisfaction
  • Supervise, develop, mentor and coach QC Lab Techs & QC Techs (Sanitation).
  • Manage all laboratory recordkeeping, calibration, reporting, inventory and budget.
  • Ensure all PWNA's Quality, Food Safety and Process control requirements required for product distribution are achieved.
  • Manage daily source, process and product testing requirements, in addition to all other Regulatory compliance testing frequencies and requirements for bottled water.
  • Communicate quality trends to plant personnel with a focus to continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and ensure compliance with required government licenses and permits.
  • Ensure plant and facility operations are in compliance with all governmental environmental regulations.
  • Measure compliance through execution of PWNA's Quality Audit Program.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Food Science or Life Science required.
  • Five (5) years of food, beverage or related industry experience; 3 to 5 years in a plant quality supervisory role.
  • Experience in Standard Methods for Microbiological Examination of Water preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with ability and desire for self-directed education.
  • Knowledge of food/beverage manufacturing GMPs, quality control programs, and beverage/food manufacturing sanitation (CIP) Systems.
  • Knowledge of FDA Principals of HACCP Food Safety programs, SQF Certification (GFSI) and 5S Process.
  • Able to complete IBWA Certified Plant Operator exam (CPO) and SQF Practitioner Certification.
  • Demonstrate cost awareness of plant operations and some knowledge of budgetary measures.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
  • Ability to lift product.
  • Salary range $60,000-$65,000
