Summary of Job Duties:This position is a non-tenure track faculty member of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service.

This position operates in an independent, decision-making role in the planning & execution of programs. Work objectives are coordinated with programming staff and/or other supervisors. Expected to contribute effectively to conceptual framework, program design, result dissemination, educational activities, & the pursuit of extramural financial support.

Duties:
Works with county educators to promote, implement and evaluate 4-H Science Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), grant procurement and management, and other duties as assigned. Provides training, collaboration and support to county extension agents and programs.

Assists with event coordination with other staff members when needed.

Continually seeks grant funding and in-kind support for Arkansas 4-H STEM program.

Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders and collaborators to support the 4-H STEM agenda, curriculum procurement and dissemination.

Provides leadership for 4-H Science and curriculum development.

Administers program needs according to UA Cooperative Extension Service policy.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree is required in Youth Development, Education, Curriculum Development, Agriculture, or related Extension subject matter discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters in a Science related field. Cooperative Extension Service experience and knowledge of Extension programs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Familiarity with the role and mission of the Cooperative Extension Service. Ability to anticipate changing trends in assigned discipline area and develop programs to address those needs.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, data management, & email programs. A high level of technical competence in the area of responsibility. Ability to develop & deliver quality presentations. Ability to exercise initiative, make sound judgments, & work without close supervision. Ability to obtain and interpret research information. Ability to relate & respond to the needs of supervisors, subordinates, & clientele. Knowledge of social, economic, political and cultural factors affecting adult and youth learning.
