The Processing Technician is responsible for using batch sheets according to established recipes to create a bulk liquid product that can be released to the production group. They will ensure all tasks are complete in a safe and accurate manner, assisting on the production floor as needed.

Principal Job Duties

  • Attend daily shift team meetings to review scheduled production needs
  • Ensure machines are running at peak performance during shift and effectively report issues to Supervisor and Team Lead
  • Ensure all downtime issues and machinery adjustments are turned in to Supervisor and/or Team Lead
  • Maintain charts of liquids processed, ensuring parameters are recorded correctly and adhere to recipe specifications
  • Accurately interpret work orders and other instructions to assure proper materials and specifications are being followed
  • Perform inventory transactions with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Accurately and legibly complete all required checks and paperwork
  • Maintain lot traceability and documentation
  • Communicate production needs and issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor
  • Operate material handling equipment as necessary
  • Verify product tags to ensure correct ingredients are added in accordance with the recipe being produced
  • Move product accurately through processing equipment completing all required checks following proper documentation technique
  • Read and record pH level. Adjust as required per product recipe.
  • Perform required sanitation duties following proper protocol
  • Perform all scheduled Autonomous Maintenance activities
  • Cross train with sugar/dairy receiving
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management; tasks are not exclusive or limited to duties specified on this list.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards, safety and GMP requirements.
  • Follow all required work safety procedures to include wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform all duties and actions in a safe manner and continuously monitor areas to ensure that safety procedures are being followed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be able to follow a schedule, as well as verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate comfortably and work with co-workers in a team environment
  • Ability to train and give constructive criticism to further personnel knowledge of machinery
  • Must be able to work independently and manage time to complete all required tasks
  • Ability to display sound logic and attention to details.
  • Must demonstrate excellent listening skills
  • Must be able to work OT and weekends if required
  • Previous experience in manufacturing/production environment.
  • Excellent listening skills

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Ability to read batching documents
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
