The Safety Lead will be a critical point of contact for Westrock's team members. This position will partner with all leadership to provide safety guidance throughout the facility. The Safety Lead will coordinate and facilitate various Safety activities and programs across the Conway locations. This position reports to the Safety Manager of Human Resources. This position has no direct reports.
Job Duties:
Develops and enforces company safety policies
Coordinates and conducts the safety trainings
Safety orientation for new employee
Performs jobsite Safety Evaluations in multiple areas
Conducts safety meetings as a result of a safety deficiency on site
Performs PPE inspections when applicable and maintain log with inspection dates
Responsible for distributing safety equipment for employees
Conducts accident/injury reporting which includes identifying root cause and contributing causes
Performs clerical duties related to the Safety department including but not limited to completing inspection logs, training certificates, forms (disciplinary action for safety violations), equipment checks etc.

Qualifications:
1 - 3 years experience in General Industry Safety field
Experience in reporting and enforcing policies
Experience in implementing safety training programs
