Alliant Insurance is hiring a Contract and Commissions specialist at our ASA Group office in Little Rock, AR!

The ASA Group is an Insurance Brokerage General Agency (BGA) that partners with financial professionals, licensed advisors, financial planners, and more to provide the best products/services to our independent licensed agents!

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

* Full-time, benefits eligible

* Onsite at our office in Little Rock, AR

* Monday - Thursday, 8 AM - 5 PM and Friday 8 AM- 1:30 PM, working 1 Friday until 5 PM every 5 weeks

SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring the company's insurance agents have completed the proper product training, and are correctly licensed and contracted under with the appropriate commission rate/structure. Along with updating carrier compensation changes each month and verifying that the agents and ASA are correctly paid once a policy goes into force. Key elements of this position are accuracy, timeliness, courtesy, a sense of urgency, and customer focus. This position will support the team's vision of creating an exceptional agent experience with creative and efficient processes and having a team-first approach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Coordinates and prioritizes the documentation necessary for agents to be contracted/appointed at the insurance carrier, for the purpose of writing insurance and investment products.

* Maintains and updates agent information throughout all systems.

* Maintains and updates the commission database.

* Maintains agency and special compensation agreements.

* Responds to agent commission inquiries.

* Enters data timely and accurately in the Smart Office, Hubspot and SuranceBay Software.

* Communicates any problematic issues with interested parties (Case Manager, Agents, Agency, carriers).

* Maintains active working knowledge of New Business department procedures.

* Ensures proper use of contract signature processes.

* Determines which carrier to work with when problems arise.

* Researches state compliance requirements to ensure they are met by given deadlines.

* Manages agent agreements when life events such as retirement, death, or disability occur.

* Assists the licensing department as needed.

* Retrieves agent and agency commission statements and prepares commission payments to insurance agents.

* Reviews transactions reported including reconciliation of reports, commission statements, commission overrides, chargeback and advances.

* Processes commission transactions in accordance with company policy and Procedures.

* Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.

* Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree, with a concentration in finance, insurance or business or equivalent combination of work experience and education

Two (2) or more years, work experience in finance, insurance, business or related field

SKILLS

Demonstrate efficient use of technology (Microsoft products, Hubspot, Paperclip, SuranceBay, and carrier websites)

Maintain ongoing knowledge of carrier appointment and contracting requirements

Gain working knowledge of SuranceBay Software

Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing customer needs, determining urgency, and evaluating alternatives; must think outside the box and handle problem resolutions with tact and appropriateness

Ability to work efficiently, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as a team member, creating and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers

Ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement

Curiosity and desire to fully understand the contracting function and how it impacts the business

Highest level of integrity regarding compliance of company ethics, privacy policies and industry regulations

Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion and confidentiality
