Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Facilities Custodian, you are expected to sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors and other surfaces as needed; follow safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment, and clean and sanitize restrooms, fixtures, and common areas; replenish supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors and other surfaces as needed; follow safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, fixtures, and common areas; replenish supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap

  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles, ensure proper disposal

  • Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.

  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel

  • Assist with setup and tear-down for events and meetings

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

  • Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • No minimum education required

  • No prior experience required

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety practices, and basic maintenance

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous custodial or cleaning experience
