Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
One (1) or more year(s) of patient care experience
One (1) or more year(s) of clerical or data entry experience
Must haveexcellent communication skills, ability to follow oral instructions,basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
Must be able to lift 100 lbs. to waist height.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a nursing assistant or military corpsman,
Previous Patient Care experience in acute care setting.
Critical Care experience

Key Responsibilities
The Patient Services Associate works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or other licensed/certified health care disciplines on the unit and performs tasks and duties for which they possess the competency that do not require a licensed practitioner, professional judgment or intervention. In the nursing support role, duties include assisting with processing of bulk storage, peripheral sticks, daily pod audits, blood culture processing, glucometer checks, acting as a preceptor for new Patient Care Technicians (PCT's), and assisting the charge nurse with other assigned duties. It is important that the PSA takes part in the Unit Based Counsel and is a good role model/leader to the PCT's.
Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
