Overview

Brightview is looking for an organized, dependable, self-motivated, Help Desk Intern with high attention to detail and the ability to work independently. This is a temporary internship position with an approximate 15-20 hours weekly.

The Help Desk Intern provides users guidance and first level support by assisting in problem resolution. Working directly with our help desk team, the intern will act as a key contact for on-site and remote users for terminal and production problems and inquiries.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties Include the Following:

  • Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation and Success in all activities and interactions.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems throughout the organization.
  • Resolve system issues and coordinate resolutions between users and other IT personnel.
  • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
  • Input all daily issues into Help Desk tracking system.
  • Install and configure workstations for both corporate and the remote sites. Install and support any specialized software applications. Create and maintain Brightview's desktop image to ensure consistency.
  • Assist with maintaining Brightview's phone system including troubleshooting problems and adding or deleting users.
  • Assist with basic network administration. Unlock users and change passwords in Active Directory.
  • Test new software and software patches for desktops.
  • Provide support and repair for network printers. When necessary, contact vendor for maintenance.
  • Assist properties with warranty claims on pc's and printers.
  • Provide assistance with operating systems and applications via various desktop remote control tools.
  • Ability to teach new user orientation. Perform either specialized one-on-one or group training to new associates on the usage of Brightview's systems.
  • Support mobile device connectivity and applications.
  • Plan, organize and prioritize outstanding issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, testing, and repair of computer hardware.
  • Maintain passwords, data integrity, and system security for the desktop environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Compensation Disclosure

The salary range displayed above represents the potential pay available for this role. It does not include bonus or additional incentives (if eligible), and does not include benefits. A candidate's offer will take into consideration experience, qualifications, location, size of community (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview reviews and adjusts compensation ranges at least once a year.


Qualifications

Essential Skills, Experience and Talents:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Master's program preferably in a technical or business discipline.
  • Exceptional proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel applications; working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and detail orientation.
  • Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with and present information to associates at all levels and a wide range of business partners.
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines in a high volume environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
