Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $74,200 - Midpoint: $100,200 (Salaried E12)

Department/Organization: 830101 - Career Center Admin

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Director of Career Center Operations provides leadership for the planning and execution of short- and long-term Career Center goals. Oversees the daily operation of career events, data collection and reporting, marketing and public relations, and systems administration. Serves as the primary point of contact for the Career Center in the absence of the Executive Director. Oversees the selection, implementation, and utilization of third-party and in-house systems. Ensures the center's Career Services Management platform is optimized to best serve University students, alumni, employers and staff members.

Additional Department Summary: Provides leadership for the planning and execution of both short and long-term Career Center goals. Oversees the daily operation of career events, data collections/reports, marketing/public relations, and systems administration. Impacts the success of all Career Center functions and personnel. Reports to the Executive Director of the Career Center. Collaborate with other Directors, Assistant Directors, Associate Directors, Career Consultants, and the Director of Employer Development regularly to provide quality employment services (employer relations/networking and recruiting opportunities for students and alumni). Collaborates with a variety of other internal and external campus stakeholders routinely. Serves as the primary point of contact for the Career Center in the absence of the Executive Director. Works on special assignments assigned by the Executive Director. Oversees the selection, implementation, and utilization of third-party and in-house systems. Ensures the center's Career Services Management platform is optimized to best serve University students, alumni, employers and staff members. Completes required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace. Responsible for holding staff accountable for completion of required training. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of career advising, employer relations, or operations experience; OR master's degree and four (4) years of career advising, employer relations, or operations experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree and three (3) years of experience to include two (2) years in career services, marketing, events management, public relations, advertising, operations, or human resources AND some management and supervisory experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to manage online platform systems utilized by the Career Center. Excellent oral, written, and presentation (public speaking and appropriate grammar usage). Exceptional organizational, event management, and group presentation skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, PowerPoint, Excel, and desktop publishing.

Demonstrated commitment to expanding multicultural knowledge, awareness, and skills as evidenced through demonstrating self-awareness; understanding and valuing others; demonstrating knowledge of social inequalities; interacting effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.

Preferred Qualifications: Higher Education experience.
