Job SummaryThe Data Analyst Medicare Senior supports the Medicare Risk Adjustment, Stars, Performance Analytics or Medicaid team by performing insightful analytics and communicating findings to internal business partners. The incumbent must demonstrate a history of producing high-value analytics, working independently, and technical proficiency.

Requirements

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, or related field required.

Master's degree desired.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum five (5) years' Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Stars, Medicare Risk Adjustment, and Government health insurance related data analysis experience required OR applicable Masters in related field with minimum three (3) years' Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Stars, Medicare Risk Adjustment, and Government health insurance related data analysis experience required. Documentation substantiating analysis experience may be required.
Minimum three (3) years' experience in the application of business analysis or data management and analysis tools including but not limited to, SAS, SQL, AQT, Tableau, and PowerBI required.

Demonstrated proficiency with other PC-based software products including Microsoft Office suite of products - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

Demonstrated experience leading projects.
Demonstrated experience in public speaking. Demonstration of public speaking ability may be required.
SQL, SAS, R, Python, Tableau or other related experience.

Experience with large scale projects preferred.
Strong Background in statistics and statistical modeling preferred.
Government programs and CMS regulations experience preferred.

Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies preferred.

Skills

ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Excel user, proficient with SAS/SQL - capable of creating queries, and able to assist with developing junior analytical colleagues., Collects data to identify business trends, performs root cause analysis of issues or problems, and proposes solutions based on best practices, and current and future needs of the business., Consults with users or decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, and/or data validation standards., Develop analytics to support and lead performance review sessions with key internal stakeholders that identify trends and risk scores improvement opportunities., Develops reports, analytics, and dashboards that will define, support and/or forecast risk scores of Medicare products and provider performance., Integrates data from multiple data sources or functional areas, ensures data accuracy and integrity, and updates data as needed to develop statistics and design methodologies to be used for decision making and support Medicare program., Manages projects of various sizes, maintains deliverable timelines, identifies potential enhancements to workflows and processes., Other duties as assigned.
